The homemade cakes were a delightful touch, especially the flapjacks!
A heavy quilt was the only bedding option, which made sleeping uncomfortable on warm nights.

Had an awesome time with friends at this lovely guest house. We enjoyed hiking nearby and took a relaxing boat ride on the lake. The hosts were super friendly and breakfast was cooked to order, a real treat! Just a short walk to kayak rentals, and perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommend it for a chill getaway!
Only downside was the lack of dinner options in the immediate area, so plan ahead if you want to dine out.

The warm and welcoming hosts provided abundant local knowledge, enhancing our stay significantly. Breakfast featured homemade bread that was both delicious and freshly made, setting a positive tone for each morning. The large room had a comfortable seating area and an ensuite, making for a pleasant retreat after exploring the scenic surroundings. our first evening dinner choice was fully booked, which highlighted the need for reservations, especially on weekends. while the village is charming, options for nighttime activities were limited after dining hours.

Had a lovely stay at Dalegarth House. Arrived a bit late but was warmly greeted with a selection of homemade flapjacks and tea. Room was spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and a large en-suite. Great layout with a private entrance. Breakfast options were fantastic. I loved the full English breakfast prepared fresh each morning. Craig and Clare provided excellent local recommendations, even had maps ready for us. The gardens were beautiful, perfect for some relaxation. The only downside was the noise from the upstairs room was quite noticeable at times, making it hard to sleep in. But overall, a delightful place. I definitely want to return!
